My name is Scott Dresser, I am a 21 year old political science student with minors in philosophy and international relations at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

That may not sound like a recipe for passion towards sporting teams, but growing up on the South Shore of Boston, I always was and will be a die hard fan of New England Sports. Whether it was reading the sports section every day as I delivered my newspapers or dreaming of pitching for the Red Sox, I've always loved my hometown teams.

Of course, I don't only follow Boston-area teams. I follow every team in all of the major sports (sorry hockey, you don't count until you get a real TV station to televise your games...) including college, and believe that I offer a rational and thought-provoking take on matters across sport in America.

I am also something of a politics nut, so I will not hesitate to discuss societal issues, especially when politics and sport collide, as seems to be happening more and more.

I hope, if you're taking the time to read this, you stop by my blog and give my writing a shot.
