Craig Sager?

Who is Craig Sager and why do I want to watch him talk about how much gum Terry Francona chews during a game? I know this guys works as a sideline reporter for NBA games on TNT, but my question is why? We’re in the middle of an exciting playoff game between the defending champion Boston Red Sox and the best story in baseball Tampa Bay Rays and this guy is standing there in some ridiculous outfit talking about chewing gum? Who cares how much gum Tito chews during a game? Why not talk about the lack of production from the bottom half of Boston’s batting order? Or maybe what might be ailing Josh Beckett. But no, this guy wants to talk about gum. And what’s with the clothes? Is that suit velvet? Who wears a velvet suit? I was not surprised to learn that this guy was a mascot in his college days. I think the outfit came from his personal closet. Apparently he covered the 1992 Olympics on TNT. Do you know what events he called? He called curling and nordic skiing, because nobody watches those events! This guy actually did a live interview with Chris Webber’s father during a TNT broadcast, except it wasn’t actually Webber’s father. Nice job buddy! I do want to thank Jonathan Papelbon for spraying the horrific orange thing Sager was wearing when the Sox won the ALDS, hopefully we won’t see that one again. Please, get a real reporter to cover these games, this guy is just plain annoying.
